Born and raised in Mumbai, Mr. Khan grew up in a world surrounded by culture, architecture, art, history and design. As a boy, he cultivated a vast knowledge of textiles under the watchful eyes of his grandfather and father, both of whom designed intricate clothing worn by Indian royal families. Beginning his own career, Mr. Khan moved to America at the age of 20 and started as an apprentice for legendary designer Halston. Mr. Khan opened his own Ready-to-Wear line in 2003 and became acclaimed by dressing countless celebrities and royals such as Beyoncé, First Lady Michelle Obama, Queen Noor of Jordan, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. In 2013 Mr. Khan launched his first Bridal collection which has been known for its exquisite textiles and hand embroideries that are beaded in his family-owned embroidery factories in India and produced in NYC.
